Amit K. Gandhi is a Ph.D. recipient in Economics (2006) and received his MBA
from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He is currently
Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

His research interests include the application of Game Theory to the analysis

of Industrial Organization and competition policy.  He has developed an

algorithm to analytically solve the equilibrium in markets where firms compete

in several strategic dimensions, such as media markets where firms compete

both in advertising and programming choices.  This research provides new

insight into media merges.

Gandhi has served as a special consultant to the Federal Trade Commission

on how to incorporate non-price dimensions of competition into their merger
